It’s easy to take music for granted today!

Any and everyone it seems wants to be on centerstage, famous or be a mega money-making star. Many people thoughtlessly listen to meaningless lyrics that do not speak to what is going on with our community. Lyrics that are silent on the world's growing crisis of government state repression and violence. They are silent about the super exploitation by wealthy greedy billionaire oligarchs of workers. They are silent about the struggles of working, poor and oppressed people's human needs. Lyrics that are silent about endless imperialist brutal bloody wars, the destruction of civilian communities, killing of innocent babies, human beings and others in Haiti, Palestine, Syria, Iran and our own people. As well as lyrics that pose no challenge to billionaire oligarchs and corporate grab for power and greed, the polluting of our air, land. food and water ...killing our planet "mother earth".

Thanks to the greedy capitalist music industry, great healing and joyful uplifting music with a vision for peace, a better world with justice and people's power is not in the air! WE want and need a soulful spirit of resistance in our music - in the air - to turn the world around. We need powerful music in the air that heals us and halts their demonic destruction. We need music to get us thinking and engaged in our peoples just struggle for another new kind of humane society. This musical spirit for peace and our people's power to turn the world around with our soulful resistance is rare! 

We want and need musical healing not war killings. Music that inspiring hope ...music giving us encouragement to speak up, sing out and join in the many social movement battlefronts for this better world we want! Let's encourage all just and socially conscious people to support such music that speaks to this human need for a vision of a better world. Let's not take for granted our powerful music, singers, artists, poets and creative cultural workers and activists who create the soulful spirit for us to "resist and fightback with our conscious art "! The greedy billionaire capitalists’ rising dangerous tide of misdirecting fascist propaganda, repression and oppression does not serve our best interests!

During this convenient digital age of streaming, we no longer or rarely collectively listen and share music in a communal way. Where are our actual live performances, with "in person singers or musicians", in social settings or on a shared local community radio station. We are alienated from the artists, music and our community. Today's music often does not bring us together as a community with uniting uplifting messages and a spirit of our joyful power which share our vision and struggle to win this better community and world we need and must envision. The greedy capitalists' music industry is the only winner, not us the people or the socially conscious cultural artists!

 Their profit-making industry controls what we listen to and what we consume. It asks virtually nothing of us to hear it because it is not meant to uplift or benefit us working and oppressed people — no real financial investment from you. ITS FREE TO KEEP YOU MISDIRECTED and powerless! There is NO profit, livelihood or obligation to the struggling socially-politically conscious and creative artists - NO long-term benefit or betterment to any of us! Think for a moment, ...despite our long-labored hours and hard-earned creative music, our product or discovery, and everything ever recorded is available anytime, anywhere for anyone for free. As creating artists - what is our return? Who really benefits? Not our working people or the artists! 

But, our music must and can still hold power. It’s rare and magical musical medicine. It reaches us in ways that a lot of things (poetry, film, paintings, etc.) don't. Simply because music - a song, a tune - can, in fact, come to us through the air, anytime and anywhere! Hit us in our heart, mind and any moment. Even if we’re in the middle of anything other than the pursuit of enjoying great art, working on a factory production line, walking the dog, driving to work, gardening, waiting in la long line at the DMV, it hits you. And in those mindless, entirely unremarkable moments, the right song can come on and suddenly change everything in the world. Not just change the air in the room, but the rhythm of your heart and the climate of your mind. It can make you do great things like engaging in "seeking PEACE with justice" while joining in with others in "building our collective workers or peoples POWER and our organizations ". With all of your SOUL, join us in our songs and music as we RESIST together their demonic brute power and greedy thirst for all the wealth that we create with our hard labor! We will, together, create an alternative to theirs with our vision for a better world!
