28^th; Friday; Conscious Fighters Concert Series: Hip Hop For Justice. Positive, progressive, & socially conscious rap, poetry, & R&B. Bring the whole family to enjoy performances from local artist. $5 donnation is requested. Artist interested in performing should contact us.
29^th; Saturday; 4:00pm; Celebrate African Liberation Day at the FOLWCC! Learn of the connection between the struggles of countries in Africa for liberation & self determination in the 60’s and African-Americans’ struggle for civil rights, self determination and liberation in the U.S. during the same time. Come out as we discuss the lessons learned and how we can benefit from them today. Enjoy good food, music and fun as well.
